He was predeceased by: his parents, James Finn and Martha Finn (Dill); and his sister Jeannine Nester (Joseph). He is survived by: his children, James Finn III of Morley, Kelly Wood (Brent) of Clarkston and Dan Finn (Sue) of Pinckney; and his siblings, Robert Finn (Tammy), Steve Finn (Marjean), Deb Casey (George), Peg Huston (Dick) and Amy Kreh (Kevin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
