He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smith and Grace Smith (Watters); and his former spouse Betsey J. Trowbridge. He is survived by: his grandson Zachary; his fiancée Joyce Stevens; his daughters, Michelle Stevens (Richard) and Monica Blackwell (Dennis); his grandsons, James Thomas "JT", Wyatt, Alex and Will; and his brothers, James and John Smith.
