He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Pontious and Marjorie Pontious (Sams); his brothers, Lee Orville Pontious and Ronald Pontious; his grandson William Coleman Jr.; his great grandchild Miley Barnhart; his daughter-in-law Teresa Pontious; his stepmother Sarah Faulkner; and his sister-in-law Kathy Pontious.
He is survived by: his daughter Elaine Kleindinest; his wife Connie Marzolf; his children, Cynthia Coleman (William), Charles Pontious (Dawn), Nancy Thompson (Mike), Roger Pontious (late Teresa), Cathy Williams (Doug), Carol Dunn (Matt), Tonya Pontious, Cheryl Pontious and Danielle Pontious; his sisters-in-law, Carol Pontious and Dorie Pontious; his friend Shirley Paison; and his former wife Elaine. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of George may be given to the Morenci Sportsmen's Club.
