He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Romanowski and Stella Romanowski (Kulas); his brother Francis "Bud" Romanowski; his sister-in-law Bonnie Romanowski; and his stepson Matthew Goodlock.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda S. Jewell; his sons, Tom Romanowski (Trina) of Hudson, Bob Romanowski (Stacy) of Tecumseh and Mark Romanowski (Allison) of Ypsilanti; his siblings, John of Jackson, Joe Romanowski (Holly) of Jackson, Suzanne Fitzpatrick (Jerry) of Jackson and Margaret Walicki of Jackson; his stepsons, Mike Goodlock (Vicky) of Waldron and Marty Goodlock (Nelly) of Hinckley, MN; his grandchildren, Teá Shong, Bree Romanowski, Trey Romanowski, Ben Romanowski, Bailee Romanowski, Hanlin Romanowski and Stella Romanowski; his great grandchild Brooks Shong; his stepgrandchildren, Victoria Goodlock, Robyn Goodlock, Hunter Goodlock and Tianna Bell; and his great great grandchild Jude Iris Bell.
