He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald J. Merillat Sr. and Emma R Merillat (Warren); and his son-in-law Scotty Frey. He is survived by: his wife Carol Merillat (Joughin); his children, Christopher Merillat (Molly) of Morenci, Kent Merillat (Jeanelle) of Midlothian Virginia and Kelly Frey of Morenci; and his siblings, Ronald L. Merillat (Susan) of Hudson, Jack E. Merillat (Rosie) of Hudson and Mary Austin (Dennis) of Clayton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
