She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dowis and Ruth Dowis (Gehrcke); and her brother Chris Dowis. She is survived by: her husband John; her son Nick (Erica) of Moran; her brothers, Steve Dowis (Donna) of Georgia, Mike Dowis (Kathy) of New Jersey and Greg Dowis (Julie) of Michigan; and her sister-in-law Angela Dowis of Tennessee. She is also survived by her friends and neighbors.
