He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Dowd and Donna Jean Dowd; and his brothers, Paul, Peter, John and Steven.
He is survived by: his daughter Jean Ann (Tony); his grandchildren, Paul and Taryn; his wife Judge M. Cathy Dowd; his children, Paul (Charlotte) and Taryn; and his siblings, Ed Dowd (Anna Lee), Donna Marie Ross (Bob) and Karen Reynolds. He is also survived by Six grandchildren; Two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
