She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Volz and Ruth Volz (Starkweather); her husband James Hitchcock; her daughters, Patricia Hitchcock and Betty Kay Leitelt; and her sister-in-law Juanita Volz.
She is survived by: her children, Walter Hitchcock (Connie), Benny Hitchcock (Lynette), Joyce Wohlfeill (Ernest "Hans"), Gary Hitchcock, Bruce Hitchcock, Dale Hitchcock (Catherine) and Ronald Hitchcock; her brothers, Wilfred "Bud" Volz and Donald Volz (Ruth); her nieces, Lissa and Hannah; her nephew Micah (Amanda); and also, Ed and Darlene Barror. She is also survived by 19 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montrose United Methodist Church or Carter Elementary School in Montrose.
