He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Scheuneman; his mother Karen; and his brothers, Richard, Henry and Herbert.

He is survived by: his sons, Rex (Joanne) of Montague and Randy (Jim Hornack); and his siblings, Robert (Julie) of Montague, Ed Kessler of Whitehall and Marjorie Babcock of Whitehall. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Montague Athletic Boosters, 4900 Stanton Blvd, Montague, MI 49437.
