She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin R. Gilbert and Nola M. Gilbert (Williams); her son Daniel L. Ray; and her siblings, Edith Brooks, Opal Sandefur, Geneva Shackelford, Roy Gilbert, Harry Gilbert, Burton Gilbert, Itha Bea Monday and Frankie Crawford.
She is survived by: her children, Jane S. Corne (Kenneth) of Ida and William F. Ray of Fishers, IN; her granddaughters, Kayla J. Saneholtz (Justin) of Monroe and Emily P. Ferrara (Andrew) of McCordsville, IN; and her siblings, Marvin Gilbert (Cathy) and Bobbie Burke (JC).
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home, Inc. (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). The lying in state was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bacarella Funeral Home (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bacarella Funeral Home, Inc. (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Great Strides-Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Shriners Children's Hospital.
