She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin Stecker and Barbara Stecker (Bake); and her sister Julie Sowinski. She is survived by: her children, Kit Nielsen (David), Lincoln Caplin, Clay Caplin, Brett Caplin and Sarah Mahnke (Becket).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (2345 S Custer Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
She made countless quilts for loved ones as gifts as well as for donation to anyone in need.
