She was predeceased by: her parents, William Frederick and Mary Frederick (Rebottaro); and her husband Alan Gasper. She is survived by: her son Robert Shankleton (Melissa) of La Salle, Michigan; her stepson Adam Gasper (Abigail); her siblings, William Frederick (Susan) of Tecumseh, Rita Frederick of Maybee and Mary Beth Savage (William) of Milan, Michigan; and her grandchildren, Brian, Wyatt, Wesley, Rowan and Georgia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Susan was a long-time benefactor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and memorial contributions can be made there in her name.
