He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stanifer and Mae Cora Stanifer (Mink); his wife Ann Ruettinger; his children, Lisa Ann and Lynn Andrea; and his siblings, Harold Stanifer, Edith Irby, Roger Stanifer and Isaac Stanifer.

He is survived by: his children, Lauri Stanifer (Patrick Croskey) of Maumee and Lee Stanifer (Cyndi) of Luna Pier.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
