He was predeceased by: his brother Kenneth Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Donna Maria Carpenter of Monroe; his sons, Marc Carpenter (Natalie) of Henderson and Bryan Carpenter (Krystin) of Allen Park; his stepdaughters, Jodi Gelso (Chris) of Monroe and Brandi Foley (William "Bill") of Monroe; his brother William "Bill" Carpenter of Allen Park; his grandchildren, Kora, Eliza and Lucas Carpenter; and his stepgrandchildren, Alexa, Austin Foley, Justin, Jillian and Jack Gelso.
A reception was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Merkle Funeral Service (2442 N Monroe St, Monroe, MI 48162).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance or Folds of Honor.
