With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phyllis Ann Simon of Monroe, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Phyllis left this world on September 20, 2024 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert J. Osgood and Frances M. Osgood (Kronsperger); her spouse Cletus A. Simon; her son Paul Alan Simon; her siblings, Mary "Eydie" Dushane, Barbara Sonoras, Patricia Ferguson, Ethel Fanning and Russell Osgood; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Ferguson, Richard Fanning, Robert Dushane and Patrick Sonoras.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph A. of Carleton, Christopher A. (Sherrie) of Dundee and Cynthia A. Quello (Brian) of Temperance; her stepdaughter Joy Langton (Charles) of Newport; and her brothers, John Osgood (Jack) of Monroe and Chares Osgood (Kay) of Monroe. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; one step-grandson; fourteen great-grandchildren, with one on the way; two step-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (2345 S Custer Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (502 W Front St, Monroe, MI 48161). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Phyllis' memory are suggested to St. Michael Catholic Church.
