She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman G. Schmidt and Mary A. Schmidt (Boerger); her husband Gary J. Knee; her sisters, Patricia Davis (Schmidt) and Mary Lou Steinman (Schmidt); her sister-in-law Pat Schmidt (Joseph); her niece Julie Schmidt; her great-niece Sara Wagner; and her brother-in-law Noel Steinman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tracy Lorton (Dave) and LeAnne Dropps (Jeff); her grandchildren, Mario James Pighin, Marianna Grace DePalma, Alexis, Payton and Elle Dropps; her stepgranddaughters, Olivia and Delaney Salenbien; her siblings, Don, Jeff Schmidt, Beth and Stephanie Schmidt; and also Leslie Salenbien (Tim).
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (127 N Monroe St, Monroe, MI 48162).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Monroe County Mental Health Facility of your choosing, Veterans of Foreign Wars or Monroe County Humane Society.
