It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Murle O. Thornton of Monroe, Michigan, born in Delta, Ohio, who passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Weaver and Anna Weaver (Martin); her daughter Darlene K. Devos; and her close friend Tiny Newkirk. She is survived by: her granddaughter Nikki; her son Gregory A. Thornton (Debbie) of LaSalle; her son-in-law Benjamin C. Devos of Monroe; her grandchildren, Lori A. Devos, Megan Zabawa (Lane), Nicholas Thornton and K. C. Thornton; her great grandchildren, Kaylee, Alec, Ethan and Blake; and her great great grandchild Yaya.
