He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris L. Newman and Lillian Newman (Fountain); his wife Mary; his sons, David, Michael and Rodney Newman; and his siblings, James Newman, Mildred Smith and Dolly "Clara" Burns.
He is survived by: his son Jason Newman of Monroe; his grandchildren, Chad Newman (Amy), Jennifer Poupard (Carson) and Cameron Newman; and his great grandchildren, Brooks, Briggs Poupard, Ayden, Ryder and Dylan Newman.
