With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Jane Janssens of Monroe, Michigan, who passed away on August 4, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerome and Margaret VanDevelde (Delrue); and her siblings, Theresa and Jim. She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, Mary Gruber (John) of Monroe, Richard Janssens (Sharon) of Novi, Jayne Beland (Richard) of Dundee, Julie Althaver (Greg) of Erlinger, Kentucky, Elaine Peters (Jim) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Ann Marie Rutherford (Tom) of Milford; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Jared, Margaret, John, Stephanie, Alyson, Bryan, Kathryn, Nathan, Maranda, Austin, Evan, Aaron, Adam, Garrett, Megan and Keegan; and her sisters, Madeline Denecker (George) of Riga and Patricia Kidd (Roger) of Monroe. She is also survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Monroe County 4-H Program or St. Mary's Parish of Monroe.
