He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Woodruff and Shirley M. Woodruff (Brenton); and his brother Scot. He is survived by: his wife Jean L. Champagne; his children, Dean M. DeBlair of Carleton and Jeffrey R. DeBlair (Michelle) of Newport; his grandchildren, Dylan, Trevor, Taylor, Reegan DeBlair and Taelor Weisenstein (Lonnie); his great grandchildren, Bentley and Kash Weisenstein; and his sister Laura L. Woodruff of Kalamazoo.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home, Inc. (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
