It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Gather Pope (Monroe, Michigan), born in New Tazewell, Tennessee, who passed away on February 7, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pope and Retha Pope (Mabe); and his brothers, James Pope (late Georgia), Earl Pope (late Blanche) and Bob Pope (late Ruby).
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Pope; his children, Pamela Goodridge (Lyle), Kenneth "Ike" Pope (Nancy), Lisa Sherry (John) and Kathy Myers (Jeffery); his grandchildren, Heather (Steven), Mandy, Derek, Matthew (Stephanie), Kendan, Shandra (John), Andrea (Stephen), Kristina (Bryan), Kyle (Melanie), Katelyn and Kameron; and his siblings, Wayne Pope (Lorene), Beatrice Jennings (Frank), Gerald "Pete" Pope (Lila) and Elizabeth Treece. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
