It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juanita Mae Hicks of Monroe, Michigan, born in Speedwell, Tennessee, who passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman H. Smith and Edith M. Smith (Pebley). She is survived by: her husband Paul F. Hicks; her children, Jeffery A. Hicks (Rhonda) of Monroe, Debra M. Keck of Monroe and Christy A. Martin (Rick) of Monroe; her grandchildren, Brandi, Aaron (Maddy), Jeffery, Jr., Danielle (Jeremy), Meganne, Cassy and Jordyn (Alec); her great grandchildren, Alexis, Aubrey, Khloe, Connor, Ryder, Tanner, Hazel and Patrick; and her siblings, Doris Vernot (Joe) of Monroe and David Smith (Suzanne) of Brownstown.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
