It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ilene Joyce Sampson of Monroe, Michigan, born in Spring City, Tennessee, who passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd Sampson, Sr.; and her sisters, Dorothy and Shirley. She is survived by: her children, Floyd Sampson, Jr. and Brenda Rollins (Clennon); her grandchildren, Chad Sampson, Ed Henry, Janie Johnson (Gary), Donna Siebert (Lisa) and Timothy Crouse; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Richard, Danny, Bobbie, Shawn Johnson, Jeremiah, Michael, Brittany, Jordan and Justin Crouse. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren; six great-great children.
In her later years, Ilene was faced with the challenging diagnosis of Alzheimer's, and only began to slow down as the disease progressed.
