He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Sr. Handler and Geraldine Handler (Bugbee); his brothers, Michael and Nicholas, Jr.; his brother-in-law Robert Pittelkow; and his niece Colleen Rochowiak.
He is survived by: his wife Joann C. Pittelkow; his close friend Louie Poupard; his daughter Danielle Handler (Butch Burns) of Monroe; his sisters, Patsy Rochowiak (Charles "Rocky") and Robin Miller (Jeff) of Monroe; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Gadwood (Bob), Patty Marmie (Craig), Kris Wrucke (Bill), Ron Pittelkow (Cindy) and Peter Pittelkow (Linda); his cousins, Pam Navarre Palmer of Monroe and Reverend Robert Bugbee of Ontario, Canada.; and also Danielle. He is also survived by loving uncle and is survived by nieces and nephews.
