She was predeceased by: her parents, Amon Richard and Virgie Welch (Patton); her husband Harold J. Shock; her son Charles Grant Smith; and her grandson Jace A. Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Randy S. Smith (Julie) of Orlando, FL and Tami R. Simpson (Rick) of LaSalle. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home, Inc. (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bacarella Funeral Home (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stewart Road Church of God.
