He was predeceased by: his father Norman Smith; his stepfather Ernest Harris; his brother William; and his friend Rev. Rance Allen. He is survived by: his mother Zelma Fisher; his son Duane P. Harris Jr.; his grandchildren, Desiree Ellison, Ashia Harris, Precious Harris, Jaq (Harris) and Harris; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Walker and Naomi Joy Ellison; his siblings, Wendy Johnson (Jessie), Jennifer Harris-Rocker (Clifford), Olaia Harris, Larosa Harris, Melissa Harris, George Harris (Bardia), Dexter Harris and Ernest Lee Harris Jr.; his friends, Jerry McKart, Danny Minton Jr., Aaron Atkins and Eddie Hudson; his close friends, Kellie Vuich, Elizabeth Martin and Donna Caine; his cousin Sametta Adams; and his friend Clarence Overstreet. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
