He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallard Prater and Stella Prater (Standifur); his wife Kathleen Prater; and his siblings, Viney, Grace, Otsie, Louella, Anna, Mary (Sue), Eugene, Ray, Finley, Jerry and Calvin.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Goff (Rick) of Toledo, Ohio, William Janus (Nicole) of Monroe and Wayne Prater of Monroe; his sister Pauline Coss of LaSalle; his grandchildren, Josh Janus, Nathan Hill, Nicole Trevarrow, Tyler Hill, Paige Jondro, Cody Jondro and Jenna Janus; and his great grandchildren, Zayne Hill, Remy Hill, Willow Janus and Harper Liparoto.
