Andrew D. Vandevelde Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Andrew D. Vandevelde of Monroe, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Firmin Vandevelde and Irma Vandevelde (Willaert); his son-in-law Craig Jacobs; and his brother-in-law Gustave Laroy. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Shankleton; his children, Michael Vandevelde (Laurie), Deborah Jacobs and Lois Kubik (Mark); his sister Mary Laroy; and his grandchildren, Jill, Jamie, Ben, Lindsay, Alex, Kyle, Nathan and Corey. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Andrew are suggested to St. Michael's Catholic Church.
