She was predeceased by: her parents, Gust Simila and Esther Simila; her husband Robert "Buckshot" Jurmu; her son Gerald Bruce Jurmu; and her siblings, Toivo, Edwin, Charles, Eino, Oiva, Uno, Art, Esther, Martha, Mary and Rita.
She is survived by: her daughters, Terry Saarela (Ronald) of Cadillac Joan and Sever of Mohawk; her grandchildren, Erin Flintoff, Texas Matthew Saarela and Sever of Appleton; and her great grandchildren, Hazel and Henry Flintoff of Cadillac. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
