She is survived by: her children, Peter Schumacher (Laurie) and Susan Rantala (Dean); her grandchildren, Sarah Aaron (Tyler), Michael Schumacher and Marcus Schumacher; her brothers, Paul Higgins (Carla), Daniel Higgins (Debra) and Michael Higgins (Deborah); and her brother-in-law Thomas Schumacher (Rhonda). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
