He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burgei and Margaret Burgei; and his brother Jerome Burgei. He is survived by: his children, Jeanette Shire, Michelle Colvin (Tom), James Burgei, Jr., William Burgei and Kristen Walker (Justin); his grandchildren, Elise Quintana (Anthony), Megan Shire, Zoe Mallon (James), Quinn Colvin, Arcaudia Burgei, Eve, Luke and Wayne Walker; and his great grandchildren, Naomi and Cassondra Quintana.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (100 Deyarmond St, Mio, MI 48647). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
