With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Helen Marie Carpenter of Mio, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 16, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Berlin and Dorothy Berlin (Thomas); her husband Gerald Carpenter; her son-in-law John Palmer; her brothers, Arthur and Larry Berlin; her in-laws, Helen Carpenter, Gene Carpenter, Vern, Betty Carpenter, Ronald, Marilyn Carpenter, Ginny Carpenter, Robert, Joan Grinnell, Thomas, Marilyn Brown and Dale Dillon; and her nephews, Larry "Peewee" and Timothy Berlin.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Keene (Tony) of Swartz Creek, Lewis (Ronnie Powell), Richard Powell of Kingston, Scott Carpenter of Mayville, Michael (Jennifer Carpenter) and Dolly Palmer of Caro; her grandchildren, Joshua McIntosh (Shelby) of Grand Blanc, Jacqueline Keene of Swartz Creek, Shelby Powell (Gerica) of Flint, Zachary Powell (Maria) of Mayville, Mason Bradley of Reese, Gerilyn Carpenter (Austin) of Silverwood, Evan Carpenter of Silverwood, Cody Pyles (Lauren) of Mayville and Mark Fryers of Mayville; her great grandchildren, Parker, Remington, Matilda and Haven; and her sisters-in-law, Glenda Berlin of Caro and Nancy Dillon of Lapeer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Hilltop Community Church (601 E Ohmer Rd, Mayville, MI 48744).
