He was predeceased by: his parents, David Yost and Helen Yost (McCoy); his son David F. Yost; his grandson Jacob D. Yost; and his siblings, Max, Gary Yost, Dorothy Stafford and Juanita Yost.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Yost; his daughter Adorna Mallard (Joe, Sr.); his grandchildren, Jilee Leonard (Zach), Joe Jr. Mallard (Shelly), Lindsay Mallard and John Mallard (Kim); his niece Penny Stafford; and his nephews, David Stafford and Russ Hoard. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
