He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Hlavacs and Katherine Hlavacs; and his son-in-law George Gregory Short. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hlavacs; his children, Keith John Hlavacs (Anne Lazowski), Cindy Short and Colleen Ann Ochs (Martin); his grandchildren, Joel Gregory Short, Devin Ann Ochs and Steven Andrew Ochs; and his great grandchild Charleigh Rylynn Short.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Hanlin Funeral Home - Millington (4823 Main St, Millington, MI 48746). A Mass will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church (334 Division St, Vassar, MI 48768).
