She is survived by: her husband Donald Alvord; her sons, Tom Alvord (Teresa), John Alvord (Jin) and Joe Alvord (Rana); her grandchildren, Ellie, Ashley, Waylon and Byron; and her sister Alene Acre. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
