He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Walter and Betty Jane Hemingway; his sisters, Marilyn Murphy and Joyce Ann McKay; and his brothers-in-law, Victor Bickel, Marvin Jewell, Ed Jewell, Daryl Rock and Ray Orton.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Hemingway; his children, Brucie Hemingway (Mary), Kathy Rude (Dan), Lynette Love (Chuck), Pamela Woolwine (Bill Jr.), Debra Olmstead (Larry) and Diana Allard (John); his grandchildren, Jeff, Kyle, Jennifer, Ashley, Ryan, Adam, Trisha, Billy, Justin, Kayla, Lauren, Sydney, Caleb, Carlee and Cassie; his sister Bonnie Orton; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Bickel, Greta Opperman (Jim), Linda Rock and Don McKay.
