He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Schmitter and Mable Secord Schmitter; his wife Leona; his children, Florence Schmitter, Arnold J. Schmitter Jr. and Clifford Duvernois; his siblings, Floyd Schmitter (Virginia), Shirley Wadley and Doris Wilson; his children, Kathy Hessing and Roger Schmitter; his siblings, Charles Schmitter, Albert Schmitter, Violet Hilliker, Ruth Hammond, Helen Fowler and Lily Simpson; and his pet Clyde. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
