It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Cape (Milford, Michigan), who passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyal Shuell and Charlotte Shuell; her husband Thomas; her children, Philip (Vicky) and Deborah; and her granddaughter Jennifer.

She is survived by: her caregiver Jesus; her siblings, Philip and Debbie; her grandchildren, Ayla and Josiah; her children, David (LuAnn), John, Thomas (Diane), Susan (Bill) and Sharon (David); her grandchildren, Erin, Angie (DJ), Matthew, Michael, Jeanette (Ben), David, Jonathan (Vicky), Deborah (Martin), Britani (Evan), Robert (Morgan), Katie, Annie (Zack), Alisha (Steve), Amanda (Chuck), Joshua (Briana) and Renae (Drake); her adoptive daughter Margaret; her grandson Jacob; and her son Milford. She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Hope Community Church (2100 Ellsworth Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197). Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cornerstone Community Church (3030 Beckley Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49015). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 1:45 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery (15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012). One unforgettable memory of many was when she had Covid pneumonia in January 2021.
