The memory of Melvin June Boomer Jr. of Milford, Michigan, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 76, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Sr. Boomer and Leona Boomer; his child Kim Boomer; his sister Carolee Boomer; and his wife Carrie Winn Boomer.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Boomer (Rick Compton) and Tom Boomer (Erin); his grandchildren, Jarrett Worrell and Tenley Worrell; and his siblings, Paul Boomer (Gail), Thomas Boomer (Anne) and Crystal Boomer (Ron Shell). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church (1955 E Commerce St, Milford, MI 48381). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM and at 12:15 PM.
Mel was also a devoted family man, a loving father, and a compassionate individual who spent his life serving others and making lasting contributions to the community he held dear.
