She was predeceased by: her parents, Isabella and James Thomson; her son John James Cowan; her husbands, John J. Cowan and Robert W. Deming; and her brother James West Thomson.
She is survived by: her daughter Cronenwett (Frank); her grandchildren, Michael J. Cowan (Veronica), Paul J. Cronenwett (Katie), Laura Webber (David) and Jessica Grush (Jeremy); her great grandchildren, Boaz, Judah, Jack, Lydia, Emma, Clara, Ezra, Sara and Eve; and her niece Alexis Thomson Hanley (Mary Dallou).
