He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Marie Siller; and his grandson Sean Brown. He is survived by: his children, John Jr. (Gail), Nancy Brown (late Gregory), Stephen, James, Susan Finkelstein (Bruce) and Dan (Andrea); his grandchildren, Christine Leslie (Michael), Kyle Brown (Kari), Tom (Brittany), Patrick, Alex Siller (Alison), Rachel Kapteyn (Alex), Ryan Finkelstein, Nicholas, Eva and Olivia Siller; his great grandchildren, Madeleine, James, Theodore, Finley, Reid, Piper, Greg, Grant, Elaine and Danielle; and his brother Leslie Siller. He is also survived by many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Milford (404 E Liberty St, Milford Charter Twp, MI 48381). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
