He was predeceased by: his parents, John Auten and Sarah Auten (Enders); and his siblings, Bill, Jean, Alice, Gertrude, Doris and Jane.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Auten of Newport, Denise Auten of Monroe and Becky Coil of Canton; and his siblings, Bobby Auten (Pat) of Milan and Joann Auten. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
