She was predeceased by: her father William "Ted" Towler; her former husband Robert Daniel Riggs; her parent Alverta MacDonald (Schaeffer); her children, Deborah Jones, Michael Riggs and Sandra Stevens; and her siblings, Bruce Towler, Larry Towler, David Towler and Sandra Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Harley; her son David Riggs; her children-in-law, Cheryl Riggs, Janice Riggs and Steve Jones; and her grandchildren, Nathaniel Held, Melissa Held, Robert Stevens, Nora Stevens, Brandon Jones (Kate Cox), Aaron Jones, Christy Jones, Heather Riggs, Jon Riggs, Kimberly Riggs, Kevin Riggs and Austin Riggs (Janell). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Janet's memory may be made to two of the charities that mattered most to her, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) and Shriners Children's Hospital.
