He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Blackmon and Hazel Blackmon (Gibson); his former wife Nancy Cornell; and his siblings, Bob, George, Herbert, Myrtle and Ruth.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Blackmon (Rathman); his children, Andy Box (Laura) and Catherine Taylor (Bob); his brother-in-law Thomas Rathman (Penny); his grandchildren, David, Thomas Box (Rachel Shultz), Taylor Walters, Courtney and Dru Taylor; his close friend Doug Eder (Marleyn); and also, Adrian and Debbie Hilbouk.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial.
contributions may be made in the name of Guy G. Blackmon to Helping Area Response Teams (HART) Huron Valley, which is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that provides on-site support to all emergency responders in Washtenaw County.
