He was predeceased by: his parents, John Newsome and Maddie Newsome (Briner); his wife Minnie Jiles; and his siblings, Bob, Willie, Daniel, Buelah, Lilly Bell, Doll and Ruby.
He is survived by: his son Kevin Newsome of Dundee; his grandchildren, Shonta Jiles, Rene Jiles and Alando Jiles; his great grandchildren, Siyana, Uary, Terrell, Darrell, Breeyana, Javon, Chargonne and Brian; his great great grandchildren, Yniyah, Shelia, Winter and Rose; and his sisters, Ruth and Mary. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
