Victoria Jean Baker Obituary
Victoria Jean Baker, age 59, loving mom, daughter, sister and friend, known affectionately as Vickie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, in Midland, Michigan. Born in Saginaw, Michigan, on February 16, 1966, to Donald and Bernice (Frechen) Robison, Vickie's warmth and vivacity were evident from an early age. She brought light and love into the lives of all who knew her, and her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled.
Vickie's life was one of devotion and joy, centered around her cherished family. She is survived by her loving children, Leonard Ray Schneider and Valerie (Aric) Moore; the father of their children, Leonard Schneider; her adored grandchildren, Vialet and Maverick; stepchildren Haley and Jared Baker and their father Shane Baker; her mother, Bernice Robison; and her siblings, Doreen Beeck and Lynne Krancich. She was predeceased by her father, Donald Robison, and her siblings, Sandy and Rick.
Her role as a mother was Vickie's greatest pride, and she dedicated herself to raising her family with love and creativity. Once her children were older, Vickie brought her generous spirit and organizational skills to her work as a secretary for various real estate companies. Her colleagues will remember her as a dedicated and friendly presence, always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word.
Vickie's interests were as varied as they were passionate. She loved spending quality time with her family and creating memories with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. An avid reader, she could often be found with a book in hand, lost in other worlds and times. Vickie's love for shopping was matched only by her enthusiasm for hunting for antiques, where she found unique treasures that she loved to share with others.
Crafting was another of Vickie's talents, and her creative touch added beauty to every project she undertook. Fishing trips were a source of relaxation and joy for her, and she cherished her visits to Canada Creek Ranch, where she found great joy and peace in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 7 pm from Rivertown Funeral Chapel, with cremation to follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4 until time of service at 7 pm.
