He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond F. Herman and Helen Herman (Donovan); and his stepsons, Jack and Kris Sian. He is survived by: his wife Delphine Riegle; his daughters, Helen Danowski (Edward) and Sueanna Maltby (Corey); his stepdaughter Susan Hitchingham (Thomas); and his brothers, Jim Herman (Brenda) and Bill Herman (Lori).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the organization of one's choice.
