He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Potts and Eva J. Potts (Howe); and his siblings-in-law, Paul Card, Lawrence Novak and Agnes Novak.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Jean Novak; his children, Kenneth Potts (Laurie) of Jenison, MI, Mary Jo Witer (Mike) of Beaverton, John Potts of Bay City and Christopher Potts (Jill) of Lansing; his grandchildren, Lindsay Baskel (William), Theodore Potts (Desyree), Heidi Upchurch (Steven Elmer), Nate Upchurch (Stephanie), Thomas Potts, Finn Potts, Jessica Partaka (Bryan) and Jason Witer (Samantha); his great grandchildren, Kennedy, Madelyn, Kaylee Baskel, Gloria Potts and Abigail Witer; his sister Dorothy Card; and his brother-in-law Ed Novak (Karen).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center Palliative Care Department.
