She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark McKinnon and Eleanor L. McKinnon (Hendricks); her husband James D. Whalen; and her brother Sonny McKinnon. She is survived by: her daughters, Melody Bunting and Tina Frayer; her stepson Jeremy Whalen; her grandchildren, Steven, Scott, Joshua, Kay, John and Eli; and her sister Juanita Dickenson. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be offered to Residential Hospice or the Toni and Trish House.
