She was predeceased by: her father Leonard "Jack" Taylor; and her husband James Gowing. She is survived by: her children, Vickie Smith, Debra Howden (Ken), Doug Gowing (Tammy), Cindy Acker (Philip), Lisa Gowing, Jody Gowing and Mike Gowing (Michelle); and her siblings, Patricia Miller (late Charles), Janet Buckey (Rich), Tom Taylor (Miriam), Steve Taylor (Linda) and Jim Taylor (Linda). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
